Job Description
We are looking for experienced and self-motivated Software Engineers in Singapore for application development, delivery and maintenance functionalities in the Digital Transformation space for a leading global insurance company.
As a full mobile stack engineer, you will be proficient across the board, including any associated areas such as database design/management and DevOps. This is a hands-on role to design user interactions on websites, develop servers and databases for website functionality and code for mobile platforms.
Requirements
Main Objectives of the Role:
- Design and implement overall web architecture, seeing through from conception to finished product;
- Create servers and databases for functionality, integrating front-end UI with the constructed API;
- Ensure the entire stack is designed and built for speed, scalability and cross-platform optimisation;
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations in Singapore, including but not limited to those issued by the MAS and the organisation’s business standards and policies;
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in web applications and programming languages to advise, shape, implement and improve best practices in an evolving environment;
- Align business growth with the organisation’s strategic vision by developing effective, reliable and reusable web architecture solutions that meet immediate and future project requirements.
Core Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate business challenges into long term creative, strategic and operational solutions;
- Server management and full cycle Application development experience;
- iOS/Android mobile development experience with thorough understanding of user experience and product strategy;
- Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests;
- Proven record in delivering technical solutions and system integration in JEE environment (Windows/Linux);
- Significant knowledge of Technical platforms, software engineering practices and system management methodologies;
- Programming skills: Redhat Fuse, Webservices (SOAP/RESTful), Bootstrap, Spring Boot, Java J2EE, Data & XML, XSL, FOP, iText, Jasper Report, Oracle, SQL, Postgres, Jenkins, GIT
