Our client is a rapidly expanding technology company, focused on architecting, building & operating cloud native applications, data streams, platforms and services. We are looking for three experienced DevOps and/or Kubernetes engineers for our client, who have profound experience with DevOps, Kubernetes and Kubernetes-native tooling. No previous experience with big data, AI or machine learning is necessary. You will focus on defining, designing and proving out the Kubernetes infrastructure and DevOps processes working in tandem with data and AI engineers.
Main objectives of the role:
- Build excellent design, deployment and management of multi-cluster/tenant Kubernetes Data and AI platform.
- Perform proof-of-concepts to authenticate important technical decisions for Data & AI Platform as a Service (PaaS) K8 platform.
- Present recommendations and offer expertise on core K8 management requirements.
- Plan core service offerings for data scientists by working alongside lead Data & AI platform engineers.
- Assist lead engineers with the deployment and configuration of core third-party off the shelf containers.
- Be responsible for implementing Agile and Waterfall methodologies with tool chains supporting the methodologies.
Core skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or related discipline.
- 6-10 years experience as an engineer with 2+ years of DevOps (in a K8s environment) deploying & supporting off the shelf modules as well as custom applications. Or
- 6-10 years experience as an engineer with 2+ years of experience designing, deploying, configuring and managing of complex Kubernetes environments (multi-cluster is a bonus)
- Strong communication and change management skills.
- Excellent problem solver with an ability to see things in multiple angles, challenging norms and constantly coming up with better solutions to problems.
- Experience in building multi-tenant PaaS solutions, either K8, Cloud or on-prem based is desirable.
- Other desiable but not essential tools: Buildkite/ Vault/ Isteo/ Kiala/ Jaeger/ Prometheus/ Grafana/ Thanos/ Superset/ Presto/ Tidb/ Hive/ Spark/ Yarn.
