With a diversified offering in professional services, managed services and product, we are poised for significant growth in 2021. We are looking for a Senior Consultant to provide consulting within Menrva’s APAC client base. Our clients are from the financial services industry where the majority of them are Tier 1 global investment banks and industry leading buy side firms.
Requirements
Main objectives of the role:
- Working with clients, generally on-site, either as an individual or as part of a Menrva team
- Provide leadership and oversight for enterprise wide technology strategies, solutions and programs
- Develop and participate in the creation of technology, strategy, and solutions
- Develop, implement and manage technology processes
- Provide strategic and planning advice to C-Level and/or their direct reports in regards to information technology
- Consult with business units on new requirements and drive solutions to meet those requirements
- Conduct competitive product evaluations or remediation
- Define policy and standards as it relates to infrastructure solutions and designs
- Ability to use and advocate the use of standards and common methodologies
- Develop and manage metrics to measure the value of technology architecture and solutions
- Analyze key financial, project and solution metrics and draw conclusions to be presented to senior management
- Conduct full life cycle technology management, including introduction and retirement of infrastructure technologies
- Evaluate and compare competitive products
- Maintain current knowledge base on all relevant and leading edge technologies
- Develop core positioning and messaging for technology solutions
- Create professional documentation and presentations for client & industry review
Core Skills:
- Proven track record of success delivering large scale technology implementation and transformation projects (examples which would be of interest are Infrastructure Outsourcing; Disaster Recovery; Service Management; Data Center migrations; application transformations / deployments; Server Consolidations; Operating System Upgrades and Productivity Programs)
- Experience and good knowledge of operate environments and best practices
- Strong technology knowledge (but don’t need to still be hands on) which preferably includes having worked on or around a trading floor
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong relationship building skills and the ability to interact at all levels
- A broad understanding of financial services technologies and their business drivers preferred
- Strong knowledge of project / program / process management methodologies coupled with a flexible approach to client practices
- Good perspective of industry trends and product and service strategies
- Beneficial to have financial analysis skills & experience of running a sizeable budget
- An understanding of current business trends and potential technical ramifications of changing business environments on current and future technology solutions
- Consulting experience with a major firm or comparable experience within an investment bank or large hedge fund
- A team player with the ability work and manage within a matrix team environment
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Personality is key; this person must be bright, highly-energetic, positive, professional, credible, and able to fit into the close Menrva team and must have proven themselves as a peer-group leader.
- Working knowledge and/or general understanding of technology methodologies such as ITIL, certification is a plus
- Good market awareness in terms of vendor and product capabilities
- 5 – 10 + years’ experience in technology programs / leadership roles
