Menrva Search has partnered with an Australian Series A Fintech specialising in Data & Analytics, looking for Sales and Business Development professionals in South East Asia and any major Australian city. Ideal candidates must have consultative sales experience and must enjoy working independently. Competitive basic salary, great commission and bonus scheme is on offer with a potential for equity for senior candidates.
Main Objectives of the Role:
- Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base to ensure strong presence
- Develop and communicate effective business and action plans to address opportunities
- Conceive, author, secure support for, launching and executing new initiatives and programs to meet the needs of company
- Hunt for new prospects to generate new sales in the region
- Work with the founders/leaders to identify technical and commercial challenges/opportunities and map needs onto people, technology, knowledge and programs
- Discover, capture and report back patterns and learnings from the field about challenges and opportunities as they relate to fintech. Continuously assessing the fintech market landscape as it relates to startups
- Produce fintech thought leadership and technical-leaning content, workshops, and events for the startup ecosystem
- Serve as an evangelist and fintech subject matter expert
- Suggest actions to improve sales and engagement performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Core Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business or equivalent.
- 5+ years of customer-facing business experience including sales, marketing, business development responsibilities
- Must have strong banking / insurance / fintech network in data, marketing, risk, compliance roles (some combination of above)
- Must have data sales background (e.g. from large data provider company or experience working with them)
- Proven ability to build trust and manage relationships with the C-level leadership of startups, managing directors of investor organizations, and other key influencers in the startup ecosystem
- Strong written and verbal skills a must – will be hustling and doing a lot themselves until processes and support functions are scaled
- Proven ability to execute as an individual contributor in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
