Menrva Search is actively looking for a Head of Cloud Engineering for one of its Financial Services clients in Philippines. As an experienced Cloud Engineer, you will be required to have strong knowledge of the latest technology trends and innovations to be able to recommend creative workable solutions. You will also be managing a team of 20+ and a multi-million dollar budget.
Main requirements of the role:
- Strong Infrastructure background with solid credentials in engineering and architecture
- Proven experience of working on Cloud Platform Migration
- Experience in DevOps, and using Agile philosophy and models
- Working with cross functional and remote teams, developing and mentoring team members to achieve the highest standards
- Dynamic leader who has directly managed team of highly competent engineers in a fast paced work environment
- Very good understanding of Enterprise Application Life cycle Management needs
- Good understanding of REST based web services & web applications using Java and Spring framework, service-oriented solutions and Restful micro-services and a strong understanding of Java multi-threading, concurrency, and memory management
- Proficient in working with relational databases as well as NoSQL technologies like MongoDB, MySQL and Redis
- Experience with service orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Nomad etc. is a plus
- Deep understanding and experience working with modern Cloud Service Providers i.e. Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Good knowledge of infrastructure, ensuring high-availability, scaling, service discovery, logging, monitoring and alerting
- Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and Orchestration
- Working knowledge of at least one configuration management tool, such as Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, CircleCI and/or Terraform
- Amazon AWS Professional and Specialty certification a must have design.
