Menrva is looking for an experienced network engineer to join one of their global telecom and technology giant clients in Singapore. This is an end to end role starting with the initial triage meeting through discovery, design, procurement (creating Bill of Materials), deployment, integration, UAT and SAT, cutover and final handover to support. You will be responsible for the deployment of network solutions predominantly based around the Aruba LAN and Versa SDWAN platforms. There will be a requirement to be on-site at key stages during the project (for certain sites).
Main objectives of the role:
- Creating low level design, designing system configuration
- Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
- Creating hardware Bill of Materials (BOM), including facilities BOM that are required to implement the network devices
- Creating technical implementation plan to implement network solutions
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment such as routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services, firewalls, proxy servers, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
- Directing system installation
- Providing remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation
- Investigating faults in the network.
Core skills:
- A degree holder in either Computer science, Computer software/computer systems engineering, Computer systems and networks, Network security management, Electrical/electronic engineering, Mathematics, Physics
- Professional certifications: CCNP, CCDP, CCIE or other networking technical certifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience working with data centres, networking and WAN technologies, and Cloud services
- Experience in working with routing protocols and TCP/IP protocols
- Working knowledge on Aruba hardware platform will be preferable
- Working knowledge on SDWAN will be preferable
- Ability to write and test code
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to follow processes with strong documentation skills
- Analytical problem solver with an ability to take on a variety of tasks and pay attention to detail
- Excellent time management, communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with an ability to build relationships within business.
